A. well, it will DEFINITELY be different if they patch some issue that has yet to be found. same as with any hacked release, it won't be as "updateable" as the official release.

A. Modded builds are notoriously unstable and at least likely as not to have some sort of security issues. They are also almost universally illegal copies. As for leaked copies of 8, why not simply wait until the beta is available? It will most likely be free to use legally until after the RC is out and at that point the RC will likely be free until after Windows 8 officially hits the shelves...
If you are going to go the pirate route, just find a good un-touched copy of 7 with a good crack/activation and then look for utilities, mods, etc. to make it look and work the way you'd like.
I personally think that 7 is worth buying...
