Q. I don't have admin rights so i can't download any special software. So how do u put the consumer preview of Windows 8 onto a usb without it? Please help. Thanks

A. Well You need to have a software for extracting the .iso file onto the usb.
Don't think you can do without it

What will happen to the people who downloaded the windows 8 consumer preview?
Q. Unfortunately I downloaded the Windows 8 CP and can't play any of my games. I also can't find my W7 installation cd so I'm stuck with it. When the full version releases, what will happen to those running the Consumer Preview?

A. Normally, the preview (beta) version will have a date after which it will stop working and all those who "participated" in the testing will be offered the release version at a discounted price. When the "death date" of the W8 preview comes along, you'll have to install an old version you have or upgrade to the new one.

I hope you reported the games you couldn't play. This is part of the important information that Microsoft is collecting during the preview period.

How many downloads does the windows 8 pack allow?
Q. I know that Microsoft allows preorder of windows 8 for a $70 pack, but can someone search for me how many downloads the cd in the pack allows and if I can download it to multiple computers. Thanks.

A. That pack comes with one key for one computer. You can save some money by getting the download version from Windows.com on October 26th. It'll only be $40 per upgrade. The limit is 5 computers for that price according to the Windows Blog.
