A. No one can say for sure, but most likely it will be for sale. They have never pulled the rug out like that on an earlier OS before. Here is MS link to their "end of sales" site. Windows 7 is still "to be determined".

Yes, you will be able to down grade as well from 8 to seven as well, but it might cost extra if you are ordering the system new. We saw this with dell when Vista was out, and everyone wanted to stick with XP.

A. Why Ultimate? If this is a home computer then you really don't need the features in Ultimate. Get the OEM copy of Windows 7 Home Premium for $100.
Sorry to hear you don't like Windows 8. After using it on my main computer I can safely say that people are blowing the whole thing way out of proportion. Looking to history you'll find people saying similar things about 7, then Vista, then XP. It's kinda funny reading old forums posts.

How long will Microsoft sell Windows 7 after Windows 8 is released?
Q. I'm going to be building my own PC soon, I've checked out Windows 8 a bit and I don't really like anything that I see. I'm wondering if I will still be able to buy Windows 7 for a while more or if I will just have to buy Windows 7 now.
A. Windows 8 will only officially release on coming October. The current version availabe is release preview(beta version) of windows 8. Even after release of windows 8 microsoft will continue selling of windows 7 for 2 more years. So you have a lot's of time left. Don't worry.
