Will windows 7 price drop if windows 8 is released?

Posted by admin on Saturday, December 15, 2012

Q. I hope so!

A. No, the prices will remain the same if you are buying a computer from a OEM or buying any OEM computer.

The license for retail will not fall either. As the vendor already have bought the product and needs to make back what was spend.

When Windows 8 comes out, will W7's prices skyrocket?
Q. Will it even be for sale at all?

A. Windows 8 Pro will be released Worldwide on October, 2012. The price for Upgrading and DVD Purchasing of the New OS from Microsoft will remain low for few days. But Microsoft announced that after January 29, 2013 Windows 8 OS will beam up to higher prices in the Market. So the price of the Windows 7 OS will decrease after January 29, 2013 and not when the Windows 8 is released.
Cheers :)

With the upcoming Windows 8, when will the price of Windows 7 go down dramatically?
Q.

A. it wont go down dramatically, vista never did either, it may drop a little but im not even sure it will, microsoft are not known for dropping prices, they wont want people buying win7 after win8 comes out so they keep the price up to put people off buying it instead of win8

What will the approx. Windows 8 UK pricing be?
Q. This is probably a bit of a ridiculous question to be asking considering that Microsoft hasn't even announced Windows 8 yet, but I would quite like to know how much the pre-order price will be in the UK. I suppose a better way of phrasing the question would be how much Windows 7 Home Premium Full License cost when it was available for pre-order?

A. Its impossible to guess how much windows 8 will. It can be whatever Microsoft wants, £1 or £1000.
We really can't guess.

Do you think the current windows 7 pro tablets will drop in price when the windows 8 pro?
