What will happen to my Windows 8 pre-release installation after actual product is released?
Q. I'm thinking of installing the pre-release version of Windows 8. I'm currently using linux. I would like to know what microsoft will do after the actual product release in october. Will it banish and decommission my installation or can i continue to play along with the pre-release after the product release. Also tell me is it worth the effort?

A. It will expire. And i think its worth it to buying it if u love more than windows 7 then u should buy it.

Is there any way to downgrade from windows 8 release preview to the previous windows 7?
Q. Before I downloaded Windows 8 Release Preview, I had Windows 7. Windows 8 has been causing me some problems so I was wondering if there was anyway to downgrade back to the original windows 7 without system restoring.
But also I found out that because I have an HP Pavilion g6 that they let me back up my system before I format it back to the manufacturing settings.

A. If you have installed Windows 8 Release Preview over top of your current operating system than I'm afraid your only option is to format your machine and reinstall the former version. You cannot downgrade, upgrade or do anything once the evaluation copy expires Jan. 15, 2013.
(go to Start and type winver)

How to install 3rd party themes in the Windows 8 Release Preview?
Q. Last month I installed the Windows 8 Release Preview. So I wanted to install 3rd party themes. Is there a program that patches my PC so I could install 3rd party themes like the Uxpatcher for Windows 7.

A. Maybe on the desktop but I doubt it on the Metro UI. As soon as they let this os loose though, there'll be apps comin out of the woodwork.

Can I upgrade Windows 8 Release Preview to Windows 8 in Bootcamp?
Q. I know that Apple released a Vista to Windows 7 application so that you can upgrade to Windows 7 from Vista in Bootcamp. What about Windows 8 Release Preview to Windows 8? Can I do this upgrade without any other software? If I need software, what would it be?

Thanks!

A. It can be upgraded but with a condition. First, you had to have installed release preview on top of an already activated copy of Windows XP, Vista, or 7.
